Two suites on the lower-level of a two-story office building in Frederick were combined and converted into a 6,800 sq. ft. outpatient behavioral health clinic. A new exterior entrance, accessed from a newly constructed sidewalk, was introduced to serve the clinic.
Inside, the two suites were connected through a new opening in the shared tenant wall. To remain within budget, demolition was kept minimal, and portions of the existing offices were incorporated into the new layout.
The design focuses on transforming the previously separate suites into a cohesive, functional space that serves its new purpose while making use of the existing layout, plumbing, lighting fixtures, and finishes where feasible.
